Allow me to tell you a story.
Someday I will write a really good novel.
Most of the books I read are dark thrillers (usually post-apocalyptic and dystopian in nature) where women are subjugated and violated to the point that it gives me nightmares.
I am not ok with this.
I don’t know how or when I’m going to do it. But I do know this - I’m going to write my own post-apocalyptic novel. And in my future, women will rule the world. It won’t be perfect and it won’t be pretty, but it won’t give you nightmares about what’s to come. My hope is that it will inspire you to fight back, to feel like you’re more than a plot device to demonstrate the evil people are capable of when the world goes dark.
